Supporting the HR Manager in end-to-end recruitment, onboarding, and employee relations for a security services provider with 400+ staff. I streamlined the recruitment process, advised on ER cases, and negotiated with vendors. Additionally, I coordinated weekly inductions and further training for colleagues, ensuring compliance with industry regulations.

My steepest learning curve. Joining a start-up that was truly scaling meant working on projects far beyond normal scope. From there, I focused on long-term growth. I took lead on the company's internal mobility program, supported our inaugural Graduate Programme that achieved 100% retention. And co-owned the bi-annual performance review cycle end-to-end, designed the 360 review process. Delivered virtual sessions to 300+ managers on topics including delivering feedback, time management and more. My most impactful project? Working with the business to deliver 85 unique competency profiles that formed the backbone of our talent processes.

As a Learning Business Partner, I was tasked with turning high-level C-Suite strategy into global reality for our Marketing, Commercial, Legal, and Finance teams. Projects of note during this time: Leading the procurement of a new LMS, planning its global launch and migration to Cornerstone LMS. Building out personalised learning plans at scale for colleagues in Portugal, and embedding competency profiles throughout the employee lifecycle. This chapter culminated in building a global Media Skills pipeline across three continents, priming our leaders to take the stage at Thrive, the company's first-ever global client conference.

Me at 2 years old - at the very first home I remember in Mombasa, Kenya. Having completed my studies and my time at Checkout.com coming to an end, I took some time to reset. I spent 10 months catching up with family, learning from my mum as she embarked on her newest business endeavor, recharging and gaining new perspectives before starting the next chapter of my career.

My work in the ESG space allowed me to support 33 critical accounts through facilitated coaching and peer learning set up for Partners. I translated global academic standards into three distinct role-specific learning pathways (Core, Commercial, Expert), ensuring they met the specific demands of UK regulations. By collaborating with SMEs, I helped deliver these updates through a mix of high-production podcasts and virtual sessions. I was selected to be the representative for all 16 Learning Managers in a project aimed at shaping the value chain and proposed Target Operating Model (TOM) for Space to Learn - KPMG's largest investment in L&D. This resulted in a white paper delivered to the Chief L&D Officer and established new SLAs and entirely new roles focused on the commercialisation of our learning products.

Stepping into a broader Business Partnering remit, I delivered 110+ hours of facilitation between April - September, led work on Amplify your Learning - a Corporate Services initiative bringing keynote speakers including former athletes, hostage negotiators and behavioural scientists to speak on topics highlighted in our annual needs analysis. Due to my work on Skills Atlas, I was also asked to support KPMG global in their quest to automate the harmonisation of skills taxonomies across member firms using the AI tools available.

An independent R&D initiative that seeks to create the Rosetta Stone for organisational skills taxonomies. The current system ingests raw skill names, enriches each skill across a configurable dimension model, and outputs clean, auditable skill definitions. What began as a prototype to master AI architecture has evolved into a fully orchestrated Python pipeline. The end game being an intelligent workforce planner that respects both business needs, cultural and linguistic nuances and employee ambition.

I led learning and development across Europe, the Middle East and Africa at Fluence, which builds large batteries for renewable power networks and AI data centres. My priorities were onboarding, competency profiles and leadership development for every level of leader.
Designed Fluence's first skills and behaviours framework, testing it against the engineering team's job levels.
Mapped the routes colleagues took to learning and redesigned them around each level of leader, from in-person days for new managers to a manager hub following the performance cycle. Every request would leave a record an AI agent could learn from.
Wrote EMEA learning budget rules with the VP and HR business partners: spending and study-time approval limits, a four-stage request process, and study agreements with repayment terms.
